Meet Dr. Petitto

Dr. Phillip A. Petitto is a native of Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2007 and received his dental degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 2012. He went on to complete an AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry in conjunction with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Birmingham. He is certified in adult conscious sedation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and CPR.

Dr. Petitto is completely dedicated to improving his patient’s oral health, function, and esthetics in a safe, friendly environment. Dr. Petitto is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and the Northlake Dental Association. Dr. Petitto is proud to serve as the Southeastern Louisiana University team Dentist, Lion Up! When not in the office, Dr. Petitto can be found with his wife Sarah, son Pierce, and office mascot (and pup) Rigatoni. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, dining out and cheering on the LSU Tigers, the SLU Lions, and the New Orleans Saints.

Dianna • Office Manager

Dianna was born and Raised in LaPlace and has been a resident of Ponchatoula for over 20 years. She attended Eastern College of Health Vocations receiving certifications in CPR, Radiology, and Dental Assisting. She is also certified by the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry in expanded duty Dental Assisting.

Diana is a devoted wife and mother. She has four wonderful children and two fur babies. She loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading, going to church and the outdoors.

Terri • Dental Hygienist

Terri is a registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Loyola University in 1982, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is certified in local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide administration. She has been working in this office for over forty years. Terri has been a lifelong resident of Albany, Louisiana. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughters. Terri loves her patients and considers them as her extended family.

Elisabeth • Dental Assistant

Elisabeth was born in Hammond and raised in Loranger, LA by her dad. She graduated from Loranger High School in 2019 and attended Delta College earning her Dental Assisting, Radiology, and CPR certifications. She furthered her education at LSU by earning her EDDA. Elisabeth is a member of The Mission Church and loves to spend time with her family, boating, and cooking new meals. She is a fur mom to her lab puppy Lily and is proud to be a part of the Petitto Dental Family serving near her hometown.

Mary • Receptionist

Mary was born and raised in Albany, LA. She currently resides in Springfield, LA with her husband, daughter and fur baby Max. Mary has a passion for spreading the Gospel and making people smile. She also loves fishing and spending quality time with her family. Mary is thankful to be a part of Petitto Family Dental and is super excited to see what God has in store for the future.

Ciara • Dental Hygienist

Ciara is a Ponchatoula native, where she currently resides with her husband, son, and goldendoodle. She graduated from SELU in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Business and furthered her education at ULM and graduated hygiene school with a Bachelors of Science in 2017. She is certified in administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxides. Ciara strives to provide the best oral care to her patients while making them feel comfortable in the dental setting. She is always excited to educate her patients on how the mouth can affect the rest of the body and is always looking for ways to help her patients stay healthy as possible beyond their regular cleaning appointments. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, cooking and traveling.

Shawn • Dental Assistant

Shawn was born in New Orleans and raised in Chalmette, Louisiana. Since Hurricane Katrina, she has been a resident of Hammond. Shawn has been a dental assistant for over 20 years and has continued education through Penn Foster Career School, graduating with a certification in Dental Assisting in March 2010. Shawn has also received EDDA, X-Ray and CPR certifications from LSU. Shawn thrives in patient care while making sure patients are comfortable and treated with respect. She is a mother of two sons and one grandson. Shawn enjoys camping with her husband and spending time with her fur baby, Zelda.
